Steve Trinidad
Steve’s basketball career started at the age of 5, playing for the communities of Midsun and Southfour. He moved on to play in junior high for the St. Augustine Angels and high school for the Bishop Grandin Ghosts. From 2007-2012 Steve was a member of the Mount Royal University Cougars Men's Basketball team, winning two provincial gold medals, a silver medal at the 2012 CCAA National Championships, and a gold medal at the 2009 CCAA National Championships. In 2014-2015 Steve also played for Calgary's semi-professional ABA team- the Calgary Crush.

Jerome Makasiar
Jerome Makasiar’s basketball career began at the age of 7, playing on teams such as Eastview Community, Properties, St. Martha Mustangs and his high school team at Father Lacombe. At Father Lacombe his team won City Championships in Grade 10 and 12. Jerome played post-secondary basketball at SAIT Trojans, St. Mary’s University College, NAIT Ooks, and the Mount Royal Cougars. During his second year at St. Mary's, he received an ACAL 2nd Team All-Star Award and a Team MVP Award. Jerome has been with STARS for the past three summers working as a coach and a coordinator. He is very excited to help develop kids basketball skills and love for the game.

Angela Driscoll
Angela played high school basketball for the Bishop Grandin Ghosts where she won Athlete of the Year in Grade 12. She started her post-secondary career playing for the Olds College Broncos where she won an ACAC Championship and a bronze medal at the CCAA National Championships. Transferring to Mount Royal University for her next 4 years, Angela led the nation in steals her final year in the league.

Mico Javier
Mico started playing basketball at the age of 6. He began playing in community leagues and progressed to high school basketball. He played basketball at Father Lacombe High School between 2008-2011 and won the city championship in 2008. Mico graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development and Economics and currently works for the City as a Recreation Programmer for Calgary After School. He has a passion for improving fundamental basketball mechanics of kids and making sure they have fun doing it!
